STORE MANAGER (ANIMAL NUTRITION & RETAIL) - GLENFIELD

We're looking for someone to lead, manage, and develop our business store in Glenfield on Auckland’s North Shore. We currently have 11 stores across the North Island and some exciting growth plans on the horizon.

About the role    

This is a full-time leadership role working across a 7 day trading week. Your store will be providing advice and education to pet owners, to help their dogs and cats eat their way to better health, through a consistent level of outstanding service.

You will be responsible for overseeing all store operations including staff management, stock control, client case management, merchandising, business development along with the day-to-day operations of running a busy retail operation. This is an excellent opportunity to build your career, with full support, as we grow and develop our business.

Our shops get regular, frozen deliveries, so you'll need to be strong, active and willing to get 'stuck in', in order to unpack deliveries and keep the freezers fully stocked.

About you

Strong management experience, customer service orientation, and business savvy is definitely required, and experience in the veterinary field or related industry is desirable. You will have a strong interest in raw feeding for cats and dogs, and a passion to engage with people. Full training in all aspects of raw feeding for cats and dogs will be provided.

Our ideal candidate will: 

  • Have strong business management experience, preferably in retail or in a customer-oriented industry or the veterinary field

  • Have an entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to network and build strong business relationships

  • Have an excellent customer service focus and strong work ethic

  • Be able to bring out the best in their staff and lead by example

  • Be passionate about natural animal health & well being

  • Have a veterinary or other animal related qualification (not essential)

  • Have background knowledge/personal experience of raw feeding cats/dogs, or a strong interest in raw feeding

  • Have no issues with lifting heavy boxes (up to 20kgs) of stock

  • Have the ability to travel around Auckland on occasion

BROTH KITCHEN ASSISTANT / PACKER (FT) - ROSEDALE

About Our Role

We are looking for a hard-working and reliable team-player to help us make, and pack, our product. You will be assisting the kitchen manager in preparing our bone broths, as well as packing raw food for our Raw Essentials stores. This role is full-time (approx. 35 - 40 hours per week Monday to Friday between 8am - 4pm) although we are flexible for the right candidate.

About Your Responsbilities

You will be responsible for:

  • Preparing and packaging broths in our production kitchen (we are a small batch manufacturer which means our liquid gold is filled by hand).

  • Complying with food control plans and maintaining a safe, clean work environment.

  • Packing and labeling raw food products for our stores.

About You

To be successful, you will:

  • Be hardworking, adaptable, and have attention to detail. 

  • Be comfortable working in a production environment with raw materials (including chicken and duck frames, turkey necks, lamb brisket and other raw meat) and adhere to our health and safety guidelines at all times.

  • Have a good level of fitness and strength as you will be required to lift 20kg boxes - if you have back issues this is not the job for you.

An interest in nutrition, gut health, and sustainability is desired but not essential. This is a great opportunity to get involved in a fast-growing business that cares about its people and its product.
