Supply is seasonal - we get decent numbers in May, but our best supply is from August to November.
There is a huge overseas market for New Zealand lamb, so it is a constant challenge for us to maintain ample levels of product. This means that sometimes our supplies run low and our costs run higher.
Lamb is a good source of:
- vitamin K - for appropriate blood clotting, and for bone health
- zinc - critical for skin function and wound healing
- selenium - an important antioxidant
