The Essentials Club (Terms and Conditions)

Overview

The Essentials Club is a loyalty programme designed to reward customers for shopping with Raw Essentials. Members can earn points on eligible purchases and unlock rewards once a points threshold is reached, as well as receive access to exclusive offers, promotions and communications.

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) set out the basis on which individuals may participate in The Essentials Club. By registering for membership, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

“Raw Essentials”, “we”, “us” or “our” refers to Raw Essentials Limited.
“Member” means an individual with an active The Essentials Club account.
“Membership” means a The Essentials Club account.
“Points” means loyalty points earned through eligible purchases with Raw Essentials.
“Reward” means a reward unlocked once 1,000 Points are accumulated.
“Website” means www.rawessentials.co.nz (the Raw Essentials online store).

Joining The Essentials Club

1. Membership is open to individuals aged 16 years or older.

2. Membership is free to join and is available to New Zealand residents only.

3. You may join the The Essentials Club in-store or online by completing the sign-up process and providing all required information. All information provided must be accurate and kept up to date.

4. Only one membership is permitted per individual or household.

5. Memberships must have a valid email address and/or mobile number to receive full programme benefits and communications.

6. Raw Essentials reserves the right to accept or decline any membership application at its discretion.

How the programme works

7. Members earn 1 Point for every $1 NZD spent on eligible purchases.

8. Points are earned on a rolling basis and are stored electronically on a Member’s account.

9. Once a Member reaches 1,000 Points, a Reward is unlocked.

10. After a Reward is issued, the Points balance resets to zero, and Members may begin earning Points again toward their next Reward.

11. Points have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for cash.

In-store vs. online points

12. Points earned in-store and Points earned online are tracked separately.

13. Points earned in-store cannot be combined with Points earned online to reach a Reward threshold.

14. Rewards unlocked from in-store purchases must be redeemed in-store. The member will get to choose from a selection of seasonal rewards at the counter.

15. Rewards unlocked from online purchases must be redeemed online. The member will get to choose from a selection of seasonal rewards at the check-out using a coupon code received via email.

Earning points

16. To earn Points in-store, Members must pay for their purchase using a bank card that is physically present at the time of payment and linked to their Membership. Members may have more than one bank card linked to their account.

17. Points cannot be earned on cash payments, afterpay payments or on card-not-present transactions (including payments taken over the phone or any remote payment where the card is not physically presented).

18. To earn Points online, Members must be logged into their Raw Essentials account at the time of checkout.

19. Points are earned only on eligible purchases. Raw Essentials may exclude certain products, services, fees, gift cards, donations or promotional items from earning Points from time to time.

20. Points will not be earned on the value of any Reward redeemed.

Returns and adjustments

20. If a purchase is returned, Raw Essentials reserves the right to deduct Points earned from that transaction. If a Reward was redeemed as part of the transaction, the Reward item is non-refundable and its value will not be included in any cash refund.

21. Rewards are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash or credit in the event of a return.

Rewards

22. Seasonal rewards will be selected at Raw Essentials discretion and may be changed at any time.

23. Rewards cannot be transferred, exchanged for cash, or sold.

24. Raw Essentials reserves the right to change the nature, value or availability of Rewards at any time.

Membership Activity and Expiry

25. If an account remains inactive for 12 consecutive months, Raw Essentials reserves the right to expire all accrued Points. After 24 months of inactivity, the Membership may be closed.

26. If a Membership is closed or terminated, all unused Points and Rewards will be forfeited.

Communications

27. Members may receive emails or messages relating to their Points balance, Rewards, expiring Rewards, programme updates and exclusive offers.

28. If you opt out of marketing communications, you will still receive emails from us about Raw Essentials orders, when you earn points, The Essentials Club updates or any other loyalty programme-related messages.

Changes, Suspension and Termination

29. Raw Essentials may amend, suspend or terminate the The Essentials Club or these Terms at any time.

30. Where changes materially reduce benefits, reasonable notice will be provided where practicable.

31. Continued participation in the programme after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

32. Raw Essentials may suspend or terminate a Membership for misuse, fraud, or breach of these Terms.

Liability

33. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Raw Essentials is not liable for any loss or damage arising from participation in the The Essentials Club, including technical issues, system errors, or unauthorised access to Membership accounts.

34. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you may have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or other applicable New Zealand law.

Privacy

35. Personal information is collected and used in accordance with the Raw Essentials Privacy Policy.

36. Members are responsible for keeping their contact details up to date via the Website, in-store, or via our online contact form.

Governing Law

37. These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
